Volunteer

Our biggest need is advocacy. You can help the OSU Museum of Art by simply spreading the word about us to your friends and classmates. The list below provides further suggestions for those interested in giving to the museum through the use of their time.

Distribute flyers
Volunteers may choose to hang flyers around town, on campus, or pass out information on campus. Timing, scheduling, and hours needed are all flexible. Email casey.pankey@okstate.edu to get started.

Help in the artLAB
We sometimes need volunteers in our artLAB to provide guidance and a welcoming face for the visitors to interact with while making artwork and drawing connections to the exhibition. Email casey.pankey@okstate.edu to learn about upcoming opportunities.

Also: we love it when you tag us in photos you took while visiting the museum. We encourage using these hashtags: #okstatemoa or #artatokstate

STUDENTS: share content on our Tumblr
Our Tumblr is a place for OSU students to showcase how they’ve been involved with the museum. Have something you’d like to share? Maybe you worked with a staff member and did something interesting (painted a gallery wall between exhibitions, helped research a piece of artwork, talked with students in a tour, etc.), or maybe you took a second look at an artwork that has been on view for a while and you’ve gained a new perspective. Perhaps you had a really great encounter or conversation with a visitor. You can talk about anything related to your time/experience/visit at the museum! Please include a title, your name, your thoughts, and a brief bio statement (major, year, your role at the museum, your future goals, etc.). Pictures or videos are always a huge bonus! There are no length requirements, but a 100-200 words is ideal. Send to casey.pankey@okstate.edu for consideration.
