Recent Acquisitions: From 2019 to 2021
June 28 - September 24, 2022
This exhibition highlights 22 works of art acquired by the OSU Museum of Art from 2019 to 2021. Chosen by our collections manager, these pieces expand the museum’s holding to over 6,000 objects. Visitors to the exhibition will find a range of artworks, from famed New Yorker artist and prodigious draftsman Saul Steinberg to Western landscape artist Wilson Hurley, whose impressive paintings can be seen at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Also featured in this show are a handful of celebrity photographs, including a melodramatic 1930s Greta Garbo taken by Golden Age Hollywood photographer Clarence Sinclair Bull.
The OSU Museum of Art invites you to experience a portion of its ever-growing permanent collection through this latest exhibition, made possible in part by the generosity of donors and OSU Museum of Art Advocates.
