Bring a bag lunch and join us for a discussion with Pouya Jahanshahi, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at OSU. Jahanshahi will speak about the graphic design process that accompanied From the Belly of Our Being. He will share insight into the symbolism, meaning, and development of the design elements found in the gallery, on promotional materials, and within educational pieces.
This event takes place at the OSU Museum of Art on Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Free and open to the public, no RSVP required. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food or refreshments as none will be provided by the museum.
This project is supported in part by the following: an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, Jeanene and Ron Hulsey, Mary Ann and Ken Fergeson, the Chickasaw Nation, the Oklahoma Arts Council, OSU/A&M Board of Regents, and the OSU Museum of Art Advocates. In addition, the OSU Museum of Art would like to extend a thank you to Bockley Gallery in Minneapolis, Minn., and the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum in Santa Fe, NM.
