In the Texas performance, artists Vaughan and Margolin will weave together narratives from the novel with oral histories about long-gone Texas gay bars, performers and activists who shaped the community in the 1970s and 1980s, and current political conversations in a state where LGBTQIA+ rights are being actively undermined.

Living Arts of Tulsa March 27 at 6 p.m. In conjunction with the "50 States" exhibition at the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art, Houston-based artists Nick Vaughan and Jake Margolin will lead a unique multi-media performance that explores the connections between little-known LGBTQIA+ histories and contemporary experiences in Colorado.
