Press Releases

The OSU Museum of Art is pleased to introduce James Rosenquist: Illustrious Works on Paper, Illuminating Paintings at the Postal Plaza Gallery from Nov. 10, 2014 through March 14, 2015.

A collaboration between the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art, the Student Union, and OSU alumni Carl and Marilynn Thoma has resulted in the installation of two dynamic digital art pieces on campus. Both works, displayed on large Student Union monitors, use a real time internet connection and current events to create engaging, ever-changing, contemporary art that is seen by thousands of students each day.

The OSU Museum of Art is pleased to introduce Chris Ramsay: Meditations in Stillwater, featuring more than 30 works from the past two decades by artist and OSU professor Chris Ramsay.

Featuring selections from the State Capitol Collection, this exhibition shares the history and culture of Oklahoma while also celebrating the process of making art and telling stories.

Both exhibitions, opening on June 16, highlight the work of artists with a connection to Oklahoma State University and will be featured together in the Malinda Berry Fischer Gallery at the Postal Plaza.

Jorge Bachman will visit Stillwater next month to work with current students and unveil two new multimedia and sound installations as part of the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art’s Visiting Artist Program.

The Oklahoma State University Museum of Art’s first location will fully open its doors to the public this month when the Postal Plaza Gallery introduces Sharing a Journey: Building the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art Collection.

Jorge Bachman, the OSU Museum of Art second annual visiting artist, will be in Stillwater next week to give an overview of his work and provide a preview of next semester’s collaborative project.

The Postal Plaza Gallery will soon open its doors to visitors at a community open house, where we will invite the public to join us this fall as we apply the finishing touches to the OSU Museum of Art’s first location.

The Gardiner Gallery at Oklahoma State University is pleased to announce that the annual Art and Graphic Design Faculty Exhibition will be on display from Sept. 30 through Oct. 25. The exhibition features recent work of full-time, adjunct and retired faculty of Oklahoma State University’s Department of Art.
