Mauricio Cortes Ortega

Smelser Vallion artist Mauricio Cortes Ortega, born in northern Mexico, comes to Stillwater from his current home in New York City. His work has been exhibited at Mulherin New York; Silk Road Gallery, New Haven, Connecticut; Infinity Room, Los Angeles; and Greenhall Gallery, New Haven, Connecticut. Mauricio will present an artist talk and workshop, sponsored by the Doel Reed Center for the Arts.  More

 

 

 

 

 

Marguerite Perret

Perret is an associate professor of art at Washburn University. Her arts-based research and social issue engaged studio practice explores the promise, complications and sometimes contradictory narratives inherent at the interstices of art, science, healthcare and personal experience. She is the lead artist for the international and interdisciplinary dialogue “The Waiting Room Projects,” and has presented her collaborative work nationally and internationally.
