Family Day

Family Day provides free, hands-on art activities for visitors of all ages and abilities. It occurs on the second Saturday of every month from 11 am to 3 pm and offers a variety of projects connected to the exhibitions on view.

This Family Day will connect to themes found within our current exhibition, From the Belly of Our Being. Nicole Sine Ponkilla will join us to share traditional beading techniques and Kricket Rhoads-Connywerdy will focus on the tradition of storytelling by sharing songs and stories passed down from her Kiowa elders. All ages are welcome.

This project is supported in part by the following: an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, Jeanene and Ron Hulsey, Mary Ann and Ken Fergeson, the Chickasaw Nation, the Oklahoma Arts Council, OSU/A&M Board of Regents, and the OSU Museum of Art Advocates. In addition, the OSU Museum of Art would like to extend a thank you to Bockley Gallery in Minneapolis, Minn., and the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum in Santa Fe, NM.
