The OSU Museum of Art offers a wide range of opportunities for university faculty and students to engage with the exhibitions and programs. Some examples are listed below.
Tours: Curator-led tours of current exhibitions that can be tailored to specific course content.
Presentations: Hosted at the museum, a curator or museum staff member will present on current exhibitions, museum studies topics, or specific course content.
Visiting Artist Programs: Gallery talks, presentations, and workshops led by artists or curators who are involved with a current exhibition. There are also opportunities for faculty to partner with museum to develop programs related to their courses or disciplines.
Access to the collection: A selection of work from the permanent collection is available for classes to view in art vault with the option of a curator-led discussion or presentation related to course content. Limit 15 students per meeting.
Faculty/student-curated exhibitions: Faculty can collaborate with students to curate exhibitions to be installed at the museum or at other designated campus locations.
Deep looking and critical thinking skills: Curator-led discussions that develop skills to enhance visual literacy and critical thinking.
