Ingrid Dee Magidson
Ingrid Dee Magidson: Master of Metamorphosis
June 9 - July 25, 2026
Reception | June 11, 2026
This exhibition presents two decades of work by the Colorado-based artist, Ingrid Dee Magidson, whose layered mixed‑media paintings and hand‑embellished metal prints reimagine Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo art for contemporary audiences. Drawing on motifs of transformation, memory and the passage of time, Magidson’s ethereal compositions merge historical imagery with strata of paint, text and embedded objects. These luminous works invite viewers into shifting spaces where past and present coexist, revealing new dimensions of beauty and meaning. Magidson’s technical mastery and soulful vision promise an experience that will inspire and captivate visitors of all ages.
Curator | Kirsten Olds, Associate Provost for the Arts, Director, Marilynn & Carl Thoma Professor of the Arts and Kayla Duckworth, OSU Exhibitions and Arts Initiatives Student Assistant
