Chris Ramsay: Meditations in Stillwater
September 15, 2014 - January 17, 2015
Chris Ramsay: Meditations in Stillwater featured more than 30 works from the past two decades by artist and Oklahoma State University faculty member Chris Ramsay.
Collecting souvenirs of the everyday world, Ramsay creates mixed-media sculptures that invite the viewer to look closer and analyze the objects not as rare or precious artifacts, but simple, anonymous objects serving as a metaphor for life cycles and processes. These pieces also examine the relationship and dialogue between various combinations of found objects (both man made and natural) and the energy and spirit that connect them.
