In the tradition of art making, studying historic artworks has been used as a teaching
tool to help students see and think like an artist. Past Present features student artworks that respond to the OSU Museum of Art’s collection. The
purpose of this project is not to create a replica of a historic work, but to study,
explore, and learn. The experience exposes students to distinct points of view, techniques,
and processes, and compels young artists to work outside of their comfort zone.

Ralph Steadman: Student Showcase
April 1 - 19, 2025
Inspired by the artwork of Ralph Steadman: And Another Thing, university students and community members will engage with the exhibition through
a series of programs and courses throughout the semester. A selection of artwork created
in response will be on display from April 1 - 19. A reception celebrating Steadman's
impact and spotlighting Stillwater talent will coincide with the Stillwater Arts Festival.
Light refreshments will be served.
